Step‑By‑Step Guide

  1. Log in to Clinical Scribe
- Open your browser and go to https://app.clinicalscribe.com.

- Enter your email and password, then click the blue “Sign In” button at the bottom of the login form.

  1. Navigate to the Patient List
- From the left‑hand navigation pane, click “Patients”.

- The main panel now shows a searchable table of all patients.

  1. Select the patient for your first encounter
- Use the search bar at the top of the table to type the patient’s last name or MRN.

- Click the patient’s row to open the Patient Summary view.

- In the Patient Summary header, click the green “+ New Encounter” button located next to the patient’s name.

- A modal titled “Create New Encounter” appears.

  1. Enter basic encounter details
- Encounter Type: Choose “Office Visit” from the dropdown.

- Date & Time: Verify the automatically populated date and time, or adjust using the calendar icon.

- Provider: Your name should be pre‑filled; change it only if you’re documenting for another clinician.

- Click the purple “Create” button at the bottom of the modal.

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Encounter Workspace
- The screen splits into three tabs: “Notes,” “Orders,” and “Timeline.”

- By default, you land on the Notes tab, which contains a rich‑text editor and a “Start Dictation” microphone icon.

  1. Add your first note
- Click inside the editor area and type a brief SOAP note (e.g., “Patient presents with mild cough…”).

- When you’re done, click the blue “Save” button in the top right corner of the editor toolbar.

- A small toast notification will confirm “Note saved.”

  1. Close the encounter (optional)
- If you have finished documenting, click the gray “Close Encounter” button at the bottom of the workspace.
