This article shows you how to create a personalized exercise plan using the Rehab Protocol AI. In just a few clicks you’ll generate a plan that matches your patient’s goals, condition, and fitness level.

Step‑by‑Step Guide

  1. Open the Patient’s Profile
- In the left navigation pane, click Patients.

- Find the patient you want to work with and click their name.

  1. Select “Create New Plan”
- On the patient’s page, locate the Plans tab.

- Click the Create New Plan button (blue, top‑right).

  1. Choose Plan Type
- A pop‑up window appears titled New Exercise Plan.

- Select Rehab Protocol AI – Generate Plan from the dropdown.

- Click Next.

  1. Enter Patient Goals & Constraints
- In the Goals section, pick one or more of the following:

- Increase strength

- Improve flexibility

- Reduce pain

- Enhance balance

- In the Constraints section, set:

- Maximum session length (e.g., 30 minutes)

- Allowed equipment (e.g., resistance bands, mat)

- Pain level limit (e.g., “no more than 3/10”)

- Choose how often you want the plan to be delivered (e.g., 3 times per week).

- Set the total number of weeks the plan should run (e.g., 6 weeks).

- Click Generate Plan.

- The AI will populate a table with exercises, sets, reps, and progression notes.

- Verify that each exercise matches the patient’s abilities and goals.

- If you need to swap an exercise, click the Replace icon next to it and pick a new one from the library.

  1. Save the Plan
- When you are satisfied, click the Save button in the top‑right corner of the screen (blue).

- A confirmation toast will appear: “Plan saved successfully.”

  1. Assign the Plan to the Patient
- Go back to the patient’s Plans tab.

- Locate the newly saved plan and click the Assign toggle (green).

- The patient will now receive the plan according to the frequency you set.

- After each session, log the patient’s feedback in the Notes field.

- The AI will automatically suggest adjustments at the end of the plan period.

Common Issues

IssueFix
No exercises appear after clicking “Generate Plan.”Verify that all goal and constraint fields are filled; missing required fields will block generation.
The AI suggests exercises that require equipment you don’t have.Adjust the Allowed equipment setting and regenerate the plan.
The plan exceeds the set session length.Reduce the number of sets or choose lower‑intensity variations; then click Regenerate.
Saved plan does not show up in the patient’s dashboard.Ensure the plan status is Active (toggle green) and that the patient’s profile is not set to “Read‑Only.”
Error message “Plan generation failed – try again later.”Refresh the page and try again; if the problem persists, contact support.
